Scout Talent — Recruitment Platform

The engagement

Scout Talent builds recruitment software and services for organisations across Australia and beyond. From 2022 to 2024 I was their contracted WordPress developer — first through Upwork, then on a direct contract — the person their marketing team called to build new pages, reshape old ones, and keep a large, busy site fast and stable.

What I did

• Shipped new pages and campaigns as the product line grew — software modules, recruitment services, resources, and landing pages.
• Reshaped existing templates so the marketing team could publish without waiting on development.
• Kept it running — updates, fixes, and performance work on a site that had to stay up.

The Marketplace

The largest single piece I built was the Scout Talent Marketplace — a directory of the integrations and partner solutions that plug into Scout's recruitment suite.

• 73 partners across 20+ categories — AI, background checks, onboarding, payroll, video, and more — each with a live count.
• Search and category filtering so clients can find a specific integration in seconds.
• Featured partners surfaced above the full directory.
• Enquiry forms for integration requests, product questions, and sales.

Under the hood

WordPress with ACF for structured content, PHP templates, and Vue for interactive components.
